James Mraz – President and CEO

302-584-6912Mr. Mraz started his career in the Environmental Industry in the early 80’s after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park. He later formed Capitol Environmental in the fall of 1989 with the purpose of providing customers a reliable approach to managing their off-site disposal needs in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Over the past 30 years, he has overseen the expansion of Capitol’s services to include remediation, construction and site services as well as the geographic expansion into Puerto Rico, the Southeast, California and the west coast.
Eric Palm – General Manager/General Counsel

302-584-6912Mr. Palm earned a BS in Environmental Resource Management from the Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA. While working at Capitol he received a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, MD. Prior to joining Capitol Environmental in 2001, Mr. Palm was the General Manager for an industrial services company in the greater Washington DC area. Mr. Palm maintains direct oversight of contract review, credit management, customer service, operations and logistics in addition to acting as Capitol\’s General Counsel.
Christopher Ward – Chief Financial Officer

516-356-3732Mr. Ward graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD with a BS in Accounting and is a CPA. Prior to joining Capitol Environmental in 2015, Mr. Ward was CFO for an environmental services contractor on Long Island, NY and before that spent many years at National Response Corporation (NRC) where he served as Senior VP and CFO. Mr. Ward helped grow NRC and its affiliates from inception both organically and by acquisition to be the leading commercial oil spill response organization in the U.S. and a global provider of environmental emergency response, industrial, and remediation services. Mr. Ward has executive management responsibilities over all finance and accounting related functions including audit, tax, treasury, and business planning
